If your computer doesn't let you complete these steps, contact the person who has administrator rights to your computer to complete the Chrome update.
Check the settings for your antivirus, firewall, or parental control software.
Be sure to back up your saved passwords and bookmarks first!
Click on the wrench icon and select "About Google Chrome". "Restart Google Chrome to finish updating" is still shown. Update should be applied and "Restart Google Chrome to finish updating" should not be shown. Update is not successfully applied and "Restart Google Chrome to finish updating" never goes away. - The issue does not occur on any other machines I use. The workaround is to delete the folder with the old chrome version.
Is there anything I can do to get it to "check again" or should I expect that an update or something re-structured/re-named the folders in which Chrome resides?
I could redo the shortcut, of course, but what about for Web Matrix?
